Sunshine Coast Health Centre is life-changing. The staff truly care and treat you with dignity, the setting is beautiful, and the program goes far beyond the standard 12-step model. It’s not cheap, but the holistic approach and supportive environment make it worth it.

I’ve struggled with my mental health for many years, but before going to Sunshine Coast Health Centre, I was in an especially dark place—dealing with severe depression and debilitating anxiety. My time at SCHC was truly life-changing and most likely saved my life. Although the program is expensive, it is absolutely not a cash grab. From the support staff to the leadership team, everyone treated us with the same high level of care, compassion, and respect. The meaning-centered, non-12-step approach helped me better understand myself and begin real healing. While I wasn’t there for addiction treatment, I was struggling with many of the same mental health challenges as others who were, and I always felt included and supported. One of the most therapeutic parts of the experience was the relationships formed with other clients (brothers)—those connections became a huge part of the healing process, and they continue even after leaving the program. The aftercare and alumni community are also incredibly valuable. I’m looking forward to attending my first alumni weekend this October and continuing the journey with others who understand what it’s all about. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had this opportunity, and I sincerely wish more people struggling with mental health and addiction had access to this level of support. I’ll always be grateful to Sunshine Coast Health Centre.

Had a very educational and emotionally supportative experience. Staff were very engaging and professional throughout. Private accommodations was a must for me, and was provided to all clients. Ample personal time throughout the program, with church access on Sundays. Small group of men only, around 25 clients at a time. Beautiful facility, with beach access, swimming pool indoors, and a gym, beautiful outdoor areas and very privately located. Highly recommended for anyone considering treatment. Very well and organized alumni program post discharge at no extra costs!

This was my 2nd time coming to the center. It was beyond amazing to see and feel the brotherhood and connection that was there the last time, still be there. Through 7 months of healing at SCHC. I have witnessed the care and compassion that the staff has towards its clients. They truly make you feel human when you are arguably at your worst in life. I couldn't have got where I am today mentally without the program and it's staff that facilitate it.

SCHC was the perfect place for me to go. Learned so many things about myself. Definitely recommend for anyone struggling with addictions or mental health.
