Spoke with a lady named Nicole couldn't help and told me I needed to find another place and informed me that my GP or my parents or anyone couldn't be notified to help me at all so I'm left with nobody in my corner and I found the conversation very one sided and robotic like in personality and nature Changing my review from a 1 star due to Nicole's poor communication skills and swapping it to a 5 due to the lovely empathic help from a lovely much older more experienced lady had Alot Going on today so the assistance is appreciated Macey also was very lovely and empathetic and highly recommend her when speaking to Intake staffπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

Thank you so much to the staff at fairhaven. I turned up there on the 4th of april 2023 a shaking emotional wreak but through hard work and commitment and every thing i had learnt from AA I am now proud to say i am nearly 1000 days sober. I never could have done this without fairhaven as i knew i had a problem for a long time but i could be honest even with myself and i couldnt stay sober for more than a few days. Fairhaven gave me a chance, not a silver bullet, just a chance and now im too scared to even think where i would be if i hadnt got it contact with the salvos. Big thanks to damien who was my case worker and help me rationalise my thoughts and feelings while i was in a very fragile mental state. I will never forget Damien saying to me in my exit plan session that he can tell the one who are going to do well and the ones who wont and over the 3 months i spent up there, he was able to see that i really wanted this and that he thought i would do well. Well mate, thanks to you everything that we talked about in our one on ones and planing goals etc has come true and your team up there got me here

Best Rehab honestly! Absolutely stunning, I am absolutely grateful I went despite a couple of negative reviews I had read before coming. I feel like some people just like to make things to complain about. I've taken so much skills and self discovery away from Fairhaven. The forest and waterfalls are gorgeous, I loved the bush walks. It's like being at a resort. The photos truly don't do any justice, as it is more stunning than the photos show. I would have stayed longer if I could have. I'm missing the place already and the staff. Made some excellent friends also!! Love you all at Fairhaven, thank you for everything. Super grateful for my recovery due to the dedication and support you all had provided me.

Currently here and the place is very stale and a bit of a mess. The tap water here isn’t safe to drink from and has high levels of copper in it so do get drinking water you have to treck to a filtered water machine which is a nuisance. The food given to each house is extremely minimal for a house of 4 people and the food in the kitchen is very average and chefs seem to be in and out. There are no real activities outside of classroom rehab stuff so the place is very boring. You are trapped in the joint and the only real time they take you out is to go get groceries if they have enough seats on the bus which they rarely do so people miss out. They have about 4 buses but only take 1 with 11 seats when there are 30 people here. A lot of people drop out before the 3 months because the place gets pretty miserable. Would be nice if they actually took us outside for group activities rather than everything onsite. Other than that staff are lovely but the place overall is kinda a hole in the middle of no where.

I knew Fairhaven would be my last chance at getting sober and hopefully completely get off alcohol. I took the Bridge program seriously as it helped me understand how I ended up with such hopelessness. I got hope. I got help. I got better. I entered on 6th Jan 2015. I stayed 7 months. Life has continued to throw adversity at me but I'm still sober today. Not only sober but maintaining a good life balance mentally, physically and spiritually. No I didn't become religious. I just know that there's a power greater than I keeping me in check. I still make wrong decisions but I don't need to drink over any mistakes and learn from them as I never did before. God bless the salvos for helping me to have freedom from addiction. I've grown up a lot and still growing. 70 years young. Loving it.

I can’t speak highly enough about the Fairhaven Detox ! I felt safe , my detox was managed well and ALL the staff were fantastic! There is so little intrusiveness regarding one’s privacy and you are left alone if that’s what you need . So much better than any other detox I’ve been too ~ I can only encourage you to get in and detox !!! They don’t let you suffer as other places have been known to do .
