Good place but no wifi alot homeless n need internet help to get back in accomadation when they leave ..

I've got a problem with alcohol I've rang them left my number a have not had a response I'm at the point of desperation should I go to there office and leave a not so they can come to my car and find me no longer living I just hope kids don't find me first

I wouldn't be the changed person i am today without the help of this place and the wonderful people who work here! I have more confidence, much better health, resilience towards keeping me on track and not lapsing! Its an amazing place to get better and the workers there are all just angels in disguise! I've even made some Beautiful kind hearted friends along the way!

I have never had such a bad experience as I had in detox ever.Freezing cold aircon & never took a jumper because hey it's Townsville why would I.I got a chest infection from going outside then into freezing cold aircon. Things changed when I said I wanted to leave because I was getting sick.Never offered me a lift anywhere & being from Brisbane I knew nobody.I went back 7 hrs after I left the offered no help except let me sit in the front foyer to get some charge on my pH then told me after 20mins it's change of shift & I had to leave.So once again I walked back to the airport.I did tell them I was so frustrated trying to book a flight the whole day I felt like jumping in front of a truck.They showed zero empathy.Im disgusted with there whole handle of my case & would not send my worst enemy there.Shame on you!!!

I have been fortunate to receive rest and care at TRS on two occasions now and am deeply grateful that this facility is available to us in North Queensland. Addiction and Mental health care is difficult across the world,many facilities have different approaches and models that they work to,there is probably no one model of care that fits all,nor I suggest is there a Perfect model. On both occasions I have been given the opportunity to come,I have been most thankful for this facility and the people who invest their time working here. The grounds are therapeutic and cared for with passion,the accommodation and facilities are well ordered and conducive to recovery. I have spent many a month at Big$k/month facilities and yes they also are conducive to recovery and clearly can offer additional " luxuries",nice but nice because of the additional operating budget. I maintain that my experience and benefits received at TRS was equivalent to the high end rehabs. Recovery and anything to do with addiction and mental health is hard work, exceptionally hard work.Its not sexy,not comfortable and requires daily work. If you find yourself in rehab,you have to work hard daily to help yourself get better,The harder you work the better the chance of recovery I'd suggest. The facility assists as best they can to help you help yourself with any additional external support required. I extend my appreciation to all the staff that at TRS.You make a difference to people's life's. (There is Nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so)
